It's raining...

Quand j'ai écrit ce post en février, j'étais bien optimiste! Et oui, autant le dire, le printemps 2012 hollandais est une catastrophe niveau météo! Il pleut, il pleut et... il pleut! Et il fait frisquet en plus. C'est mon 5eme printemps aux Pays-Bas, et de loin le plus pourri niveau temps. Meme les asperges en prennent un coup (article). Enfin l'été 2012 ne peut être qu'exceptionnel, canicule en vue (tout est relatif: canicule aux Pays-Bas = plus de 25 degrés...).

Pour les météo-sensibles comme moi, voici 2 sites qui vous seront utiles:

- Weer.nl qui donne la météo temps réel et prévisions 5 jours (utile quand il faut décider soirée barbecue dans le jardin ou pas...).

- Buienradar.nl ultra utile qui annonce les pluies à venir. Une copine française hallucinait l'autre jour en me disant qu'un hollandais lui avait dit un jour à midi, t'inquiete tu peux aller te balader, il devrait pleuvoir entre 18h15 et 19 h seulement! Pour moi, rien de choquant. Comme beaucoup de hollandais, avant de sortir le vélo et partir à l'autre bout de la ville, si le temps est nuageux, allez hop un tour sur buienradar et je planifie ma journée en fonction de ca. Et oui, comme quoi, le climat influence vraiment la vie quotidienne... 

PS: Je rappelle que j'ai grandi dans des contrées sud-gasconnes ou le temps est bien plus ensoleillé et beaucoup moins froid...

When I wrote this post last February, I was optimistic! The spring 2012 is undeniably a disaster weather speaking! It rains, it rains and... it rains! And it's so chilly. This is my 5th spring in the Netherlands, and by far the most rotten one. Even the asparagus suffer from it (article). I assume the 2012 summer can only be exceptional, heatwave coming (everything is relative: heatwave in the Netherlands  = more than 25 Celsius degrees ...).

For weather-sensitive people (like me), here are two sites that will be helpful:
- Weer.nl  which gives real-time weather and 5 days forecast  (useful when deciding BBQ in the garden or not ...).

- Buienradar.nl  ultra useful announcing the coming rains. A French friend was surprised the other day because a Dutch told her one day at lunch time, "no worries you can go for a  walk, it should rain only between 6:15 p.m. and 7 pm today! For me, nothing shocking. Like many Dutch, before riding the bike to the other side of the town, if it is cloudy,  hop a click on buienradar and I plan my day. And yes, the weather really affects everyday life ...

PS: I grew up in Southern Gascogne where the weather is much more sunny and warm...
